Chocolate Frosting Recipe

Chocolate frosting is generally wonderful for most cake but it is the classic addition to yellow cakes.


Indeed, the dark color of the chocolate and the rich flavor do offer a nice contrast to the light yellow cake.





With chocolate frosting, you can turn even the most boring and dry cake into something that is totally moist and juicy. Anyone who eats your cake will be so pleased that they will want more from you.

Instructions:


1. First, you need to melt the chocolate over hot water. Make sure that you don't boil them!


2. In a bowl, add in the egg yolks and beat them until light.


3. Gradually add in the sugar and continue beating well.


4. Add in the milk, butter and salt then transfer everything to a saucepan and bring to a boil for 1 minute.


5. Remove from heat and then add in the vanilla, almond extract and shortening.


6. Beat the mixture until very glossy and filling is heavy enough to spread.
